Charlotte did not have a good night — for she was attacked with a cough which lasted a long time & which has caused great pains in her side & rouned her waist — She is feeling much about the same to day — not quite so much soreness where the erysipelas has its seat which is accounted for by the violent redness & fireation[?] of the erysipelas being more subded [sic] this
[3104 reverse] this morning — Sir James sais [sic] she is better — well we hope it is so & that her progress may be sure & rapid — She sends best love to all, & tells me to say what I have already said & further that she in is great pain — (partly I suppose from being kept in bed so long with so little movement) & that Sir James tells her that for the present she must
