Auto/biographical Accounts about Cushman
All of these auto/biographical texts are published after Cushman's death in 1876. They comprise favourable as well as negative accounts of Cushman's career and private life.
Howe's Memories of a Hostess (1922): Annie Fields characterizes Cushman as "Seward-ite in politics" and describes how she "has made money during the war." Fields also speaks of Cushman's "greatness" and adds a review of Cushman performing Macbeth.
