Description
Wayman Crow was a St. Louis businessman, who also served as the financial advisor for Harriet Hosmer and Charlotte Cushman. Crow is the father of Emma Crow Cushman (who falls in love with Cushman, after seeing her perform as Romeo in St. Louis, and later marries Charlotte Cushman's adopted son Ned), Cornelia Carr (nee Crow) who edits Harriet Hosmer. Letters and Memories, Mary Emmons (who also visits Hosmer and Cushman in Rome), Wayman Crow, Jr., and Isabella Kealhofer.
Crow becomes one of the founders of Washington University in St. Louis, which holds the Wayman Crow genealogical papers, 1836-1992.
